Nourishing community through the joyful preparation of good food to promote food security, dignity, and belonging.
What we do
Community Meal Prep Club brings people together to prepare nourishing meals for neighbors, strengthening food access and community connection through hands-on classes, partnerships, and collaborative meal preparation. Based in Melrose, MA.
Emphasizing quality and choice
We feature seasonal, nutrient-dense recipes, thoughtfully plan menus to accommodate diverse dietary needs, and partner with local farms whenever possible. Meal recipients can choose from high-quality, culturally responsive options that are carefully customized for a variety of diets. We are especially grateful to Wright-Locke Farm for generously subsidizing the cost of fresh produce for our programming.
Building community around good food
Working in teams, we collectively prepare an average of 100 meals during each three-hour class. We believe the joy and care experienced in the kitchen are carried into every meal we create. Each event is thoughtfully designed to include time for connection, including abundant snacks and beverages tailored to the dietary needs and preferences of the group.
Strengthening cooking skills
through service
Community Meal Prep Clubs offer a meaningful and accessible way to build culinary skills in a supportive, hands-on environment. Our beginner-friendly classes are led by an experienced chef who provides personalized guidance, answers questions, and shares mini-demonstrations. Participants learn new and inspiring recipes while gaining practical techniques and confidence — skills they can bring home to prepare delicious meals for family and friends.
“I’m so happy that we made such great meals for others to enjoy!
Your organization of these events makes it extremely joyful to participate.
Thanks for going the extra miles behind the scenes to make this happen.”
